The MicroLogix
1200R controller has all of the advanced features of the Series
C controller with the following additional functionality and benefits.
- A Programming / Human Machine Interface (HMI) port in
addition to the Channel 0 port: provides an inexpensive means of
providing an extra port that can be used for programming using a
personal computer with Rockwell Software RSLogix 500 software, or
connecting an operator interface device to your controller.
- Increased application flexibility
- Reduced system cost: enables users to directly
connect a local HMI, allowing the other port to be used for
networking, modem connection, programming and other devices.
- Requires no configuration: DF1 Full Duplex port that
has the same parameters as Channel 0 when it is in its “Default
Comms” configuration.
- Respond Only: Messaging is not available; it
communicates by responding to communications initiated from the
device attached to it.

MicroLogix 1100
A new Expandable MicroLogix Processor with
Built in Ethernet/IP
|
 |
|
|
 |
The
Series C EtherNet/IP™ interfaces, 1761-NET-ENI and
1761-NET-ENIW, are now available. Both provide 10/100 Mbps
EtherNet/IP capability and improved performance access for
Allen-Bradley®
SLC™ 500, MicroLogix™, and CompactLogix™ controller
platforms.
The Series C 1761-NET-ENI and
1761-NET-ENIW incorporate a new high-performance processor which
provides 10/100 Mbps EtherNet/IP connectivity to result in
significant upload/download performance improvements. Performance
tests indicate that with a 100 Mbps EtherNet/IP connection and a
38.4 Kbaud serial connection, upload/download times are typically
half as long as with Series B units. Due to RSLinx®
EtherNet/IP driver efficiency, Series C upload/download times are
typically 15-30% faster than a direct 38.4 Kbaud serial
connection. Web pages served by the 1761-NET-ENIW are also
noticeably faster.
Additionally, the Series C
1761-NET-ENI and 1761-NET-ENIW are included as an upgrade option
in the Step
Forward™ Program.
This offer presents users of Series A or B units with a credit
incentive when upgrading to a Series C product.
The 1761-NET-ENI and 1761–NET-ENIW
Installation Instructions and User Manuals are orderable and
downloadable from The
Automation Bookstore in
printed and electronic formats, as well as downloadable from
Manuals
On-line. Information

splitter allows a single RS-232/DF1 port
on a Rockwell Automation controller
(e.g. SLC™ 500, MicroLogix™, PLC-5®,
ControlLogix®, CompactLogix™) to be
expanded (or split) for communication
with two external devices at the
same time.
