Automation Fair
2005
November 16-17, 2005
America's Center in St. Louis, Missouri
History of the Fair
Rockwell Automation has sponsored the
Allen-Bradley Automation Fair since 1992. Automation Fair was created
in response to a growing trend of specialty trade shows that allow
customers to find solutions to business problems and has grown to set a
standard in the marketplace for vendor-sponsored specialty trade shows.
In fact, the event is so unique, we've registered the Automation Fair
service mark.
This event also has been a successful
marketing tool for Rockwell Automation, Allen-Bradley Distributors and
other Rockwell Automation Partners. Attendees have learned that the
Fair is an excellent vehicle to learn about systems and services from
vendors who partner with Rockwell Automation to deliver Complete
Automation solutions.
The educational elements of the Fair
are one of its most important features. Attendees can justify the time
and expense of coming to the show because they really do learn about
industry trends and solutions that benefit their company. Through
Automation Fair technical sessions, exhibits, tutorials, business
forums, special events and hands-on labs, a manufacturer can learn
about and test-drive Rockwell Automation and partner products to
experience:
- What makes up a solution
- How the components within the
solution work
- How the solution integrates
with components and technology from other suppliers
- How the solution addresses the
supply chain and enterprise-wide issues
- How the solution is installed
and supported
- How the solution drives value
- Why the solution will work for
a manufacturer's specific need
- Why it's the best solution for
that need
Automation Fair is the single largest
customer-facing event sponsored by Rockwell Automation. It drives the
introduction of many new products and services to the marketplace.
In 2003, Automation Fair coincided
with the 100th anniversary of the Allen-Bradley brand. Leveraging the
synergy of the Fair and the milestone of a "Century of Quality"
resulted in exceptional interest and in part influenced the remarkable
attendance count.
Rather than contracting with an
outside firm to manage the show, Rockwell Automation utilizes internal
resources to perform most activities. The Automation Fair Logistics,
Content and Executive Committees govern the logistics, and direction of
the Fair each year. Negotiations for future Fair sites occur up to five
years in advance.
